Oh my god.
Oh my god.

The finale to Legend of Korra was
Oh my god.
This is probably the saddest thing I have ever seen holy shit.

The Last Airbender was good but it never really made me sad. But this was
god damn Amon and Aang and Tarrlock and Korra and oh my god

Oh no they have another season planned. But that'll be a while away and they said it'll be a new villain.

Noatok's tear at the end fucking crushed me. Christ.
Some of it is probably because I'm extremely tired and it's late but still that tear put me over the edge.
I can't tell if it was because he was reliving a fond memory or accepting what Tarrlock was about to do, but either way: saddest part of the entire series right there.

Yeah, that scene was a real tearjerker.
It's just one of those moments that make me feel that there is hope for this generation's entertainment industry.

Shame for the last 2 minutes of the episode though. Felt like a very forced happy ending and it feels more like a closed series finale than just the end to a season. I really expected that Korra were to go through this epic character development scenario where she felt helpless and vulnerable because she was now stuck with air-bending and failed at being the Avatar, pretty much. It'd be interesting, it'd be cool to see Korra go on an epic odyssey to find a way to return hers and everyone else's bending.

Okay, yeah - going through the avatar state helps too, but -- com'n, it could've been a hell of a lot better and interesting if she couldn't get her bending back without going through a spiritual journey of some sort first. Plus Makorra... why must they constantly shove that romance down our throats instead of developing it naturally like the good old days?

Again, I'm probably just pissed because I hate it when good writers go for a real cop-out ending when everything else works out awesome. (insert ME3 flashback here)

@Irene the SeedrianRabbit:
The ending did seem really rushed, I agree. I also expected season 2 to be about Korra dealing with only having airbending. But it is what it is.
At least we FINALLY saw Aang talk to her.

As for Makorra, I'm not a romance fan. At all. I didn't like it in TLA, and I didn't like it here. But I didn't like Mako and Korra especially - it's way too...cliché. I feel really bad for Bolin, dude's an awesome guy.
